I have to confess when I first started WordPress I didn’t now how to find comments
and people thought they were being ignored
I just learned through trial and error.
Now I prefer WordPress to Facebook
Far more interesting reading
I still don’t know how to use Twitter
A wise friend posted this on Facebook some time ago- re covid 19 isolating:-
“ humans are intrinsically social creatures and removal from others is used as a form of torture. Also touch is a basic human need..(babies will die if left untouched)”
I remember learning this when I studied psychology
And we all need a laugh.
I sometimes play this to make myself laugh
It was taken in 2015
My son lives in North Queensland
and I live in South Australia
The first video taken that day fortunately couldn’t be salvaged
(phone was damaged)
When he first walked in my front door
I just couldn’t stop crying
And he was videoing me on his phone
Blessed be

Since I found out Stewart Farrar’s book “The life and Times of a Modern Witch”:
For which I filled out a questionnaire and some of my answers were included
costs $1960.24 US dollars,
I have been wondering –does this mean I am an antique?

Not practicing what I preach today.

Am in my “I hate humans” mood:
“The gods are sadists”:
One Christian friend said he believed that I had become an atheist because I have suffered a life time of physical and mental abuse:
I told him –“That’s not the reason”.
I have decided that I was born to into the wrong culture:
Or the wrong species:
Or on the wrong planet.

I am sure that I that I am considered “white trash” because my property looks like native bush:
I get lectured that I have too many trees:
that they are fire hazard etc:
I have never seen a tree go around with a cigarette lighter lighting fires.
Decided to advertise my book:
(Since the GST was changed for overseas companies — I haven’t received a cent in royalties (on 3 books) and am guessing it’s related to this GST)
But I wrote this sci fi short story as “sympathetic magic”:
Money is not my motivation.
I thought that I would quote a few lines from this short story:
(Kunnapip teased Arawn re communicating with the humans
‘They won’t take any notice of you!
You’re not humanoid: And you don’t speak!
So you are of no consequence’
“Oh they will take notice of me:
They will “hear words” and think I am speaking)
I chose the name Kunnapipi as she was an Australian aboriginal mother goddess:
But this story is not about the “real” Kunnapipi.
Blessed be

Thankyou to my followers
It doesn’t bother me that I only have a few.
I just love to have this forum to share ideas:
And love reading other peoples posts.
Throughout my three score years and ten (plus one)
I have tried on occasions to socialize with small groups of women:
Sadly the conversation was usually about “soapies” or reality TV:
which I have never watched:
or back stabbing someone who isn’t in attendance.
(This isn’t confined to women
I observed long ago that some men are just the same or worse.)
I have true friends all of whom I have known for decades:
one I have known since I was six years old.
None live locally:
but thanks to phones
and internet we keep in touch.
Some trivia for today:
Long ago when the dinosaurs walked the earth —oh well maybe not that long:

I learned where the names of the days of the week came from:
from a Childcraft Encyclopaedia:
I was trying to find help in explaining aerodynamics to a grade 3 class – 8 year olds:

I was “prac’ teaching at the time:
and asked the class teacher how she managed to explain concepts to children this age
She said
“I speak to everyone as if they are grade three”.

I don’t believe in karma – but would love it to be so.
I do believe in cause and effect.
The media has always fed us horror stories — some one commented to me yesterday “No news is good news”
BUT WHY?
There are so many caring people and so much beauty and joy on Mother Earth.
If more was made of kindness then kindness would increase.

From both a magical, sociological and psychological view point continually “reporting” violence and trauma increases same.
The late Louise Hay and other “New Age gurus” advise against saying things we don’t want to manifest – like “kill two birds with one stone” ( I delete this!)
In Marion Weinstein’s Positive Magic she advises that when we say something that we don’t want to manifest – say “Take this out of the Law (of cause and effect)
I have started saying “Delete”
Marion Weinstein also suggested that when we see or hear crime, car accidents: and in my case, bush fires and other life forms becoming extinct: on the media to say “take this out of the Law”.
When I was training “would be” witches I told them:
In manifesting – intent matters and emotions empower.
The media has been feeding us trauma and crime for as long as I remember:
I have avoided reading, watching or listening to the news for decades:
but still end up learning about the current horrors.
Thankyou to all the beautiful people that care about other life forms.
Blessed be

P.S. I actually wrote this to remind myself!

There is a magpie that has been visiting me since she was a baby she initially came with her parents but then her parents came no more:
Am guessing “road kill” ☹
She hadn’t quite finished learning to self feed when her parents died:
Yet she watched other birds and learned quickly.
Another magpie family visited here at the same time and the male would peck at her to keep her away from the food.
Then for a while I didn’t see her at all:
An Ibis had been stopping magpies from coming here:
Now the magpies are back:
It seems that this family, that had picked on her, send her in to sing for food:
which I bring out:
and then the male tries to keep her away from the food:
I now stand outside because the other magpies move away:
and she stays because she knows me:
hence gets to eat.
Turn on the sound for this 😀
There is a crow that visits:
She doesn’t caw like a crow:
It sounds like she is trying to mimic the magpies song.
It may be that she is a different species from the other crows?
Googled this —-
“Corvus mellori——
The others species in South Australia are Little Crow, Australian Raven, Torresian Crow and Forest Raven. The calls of corvids are perhaps the best method for identifying them in the field. They all have different calls, although recognising them obviously requires a great deal of experience.”
Blessed be
and be kind to non humans

I am re blogging this in the hope that someone will explain to me why a book would cost this much? $1960.24 US dollars
It was published in 1988 and Stewart is dead –but it doesn’t explain the price?

I thought —this is too petty to blog about
But I am
Why would a book cost this much?
I am in this book:
We filled out a questionnaire for Stewart Farrar in the 1980s:
One of many I have loaned out and never got back:
I have had to replace Marion Weinstein’s “Positive Magic” four times because people didn’t return the book:
Star Hawk’s – Spiral Dance only once:
At teachers college I loaned a Childhood development book that cost $100 (a lot in the 70’s) and never got it back:
Today I decided to have another go at replacing this one –
It is $1960.24 US dollars
I got one second hand but it cost me almost $64
Blessed be
celebrate the solstice

Today it is Mid Winter here = YULE
and Mid Summer -LITHA – in the northern hemisphere.

The Wheel Of The Year: pagan festivals celebrating the seasons:
solstices and equinoxes.
When the Romans and Christianity took over they could not get rid of these festivals:
So every church festival was originally a pagan one.
FYI – pagan means village dweller.
Wicca means wise –or to bend
Heathen means dweller on the heath.
The concept that we are evil came from the “Inquisition”:
(This is where the Satanists got there ideas — so if you are interested in Wicca trust your gut)
Our rituals are similar to American Indian rituals:
Or at least the one I was involved in which was Sioux tradition.
We dance and chant to raise power.
NO SACRIFICES
Anyone who has read my other blogs will know that I will literally not harm a fly
or any other creature
Blessed Yule
to those “down under”

Blessed Litha
to those in the northern hemisphere

At the beginning of this century we were celebrating an Esbat (full moon ritual) at Encounter Bay Victor Harbour South Australia:
There was complete cloud cover:
We couldn’t see the moon:
The only light was the candles:
Part of the ritual is the “spiral dance”/ the cone of power

After I had “closed the circle” I decided to use up the film in my non-digital camera:
This camera didn’t have a flash:
So I just clicked in front of where I was sitting on the grass.
I put the film in to be developed:
When I collected the photos and saw these “lights” I thought it a camera fault:
I was going to throw them out:
But they are not a camera fault!

I “see” angels as white light:
and I invoke the archangels when casting the circle.
Decided to ad this extra trivia—
The person pictured wearing the red cord is a male witch and second degree initiate:
I wear a blue cord to signify that I am third degree and high priestess:
When I was training or working, coven members would kneel and bow:
BUT IT WAS A JOKE:
I have never been into the oneupmanship status stuff 😛
I was told this century that nowadays high priestesses demand people bow to them:
Seriously ☹
