FIGHT AND FLIGHT RESPONSE

this is from Facebook —love it 😛

Anyone with an anxiety disorder knows that if you try and fight your fight and flight response it makes it worse:

because it is a fight and flight response 😛

Although I have had a decade of pain and sleep deprivation I go through stretches where the pain is horrific and adrenalin kicks in and doesn’t shut off for days.

I am allergic to pain relief.

The worst pain is caused by surgical mistakes.

So if anyone has liked or commented and I haven’t answered

Its because my concentration is stuffed.

Now that I am on Windows10 (which I avoided for ages) notifications come up on screen—I realize I can stop this— One notification alerted that there was a problem with my WordPress – when I checked , it was someone trying to sell me something 😛

I made this recording for my land line — thought you’d find it funny.

The following pictures were  taken at the beginning of the week

My daughter and son in law took me to the Goolwa Hotel:

Social distancing etc.  adhered   to.

Was in pain but could block it out:

Comfort food 😀

SELF PRAISE

My Dad now deceased grew up on a farm in Yorkshire.

I remember so many of my his sayings:

“Why worry

If you worry you die

If you don’t worry you die

So why worry.”

“Count your blessings”

“Put wood in th’ole” = shut the door.

“SELF PRAISE IS NO RECOMMENDATION.”

I was sitting in the “smallest room in the house” ( a term plagiarised from the late Wayne Dyer)

reading some of my sci fi short story.

I like it

And unlike the non fiction that I wrote afterward

I wrote this properly with a story outline etc.

IF YOU ARE A MISFIT

YOU ARE PROBABLY AN ORIGINAL THINKER

AG00317_

Who would want to be a mindless automaton

I just felt like reblogging this.

Original thinkers are no longer put to death

nor put in a mental institution:

We need people that see beyond the cultural programming:

see that many of our cultural norms are wrong:

The concept that only humans matter is so destructive to the ecology

chopping down trees:

culling other life forms because they are considered vermin or dangerous:

Factory farming:

production line slaughtering.

refusing implement zero population growth.

I LOVE TREES

The following pictures were taken with a cheap phone earlier this century when I was a volunteer with bush care:

Soon after this the heritage bush-land “accidentally”burned

and was replaced by real-estate development– now lots of houses.

Thankyou to everyone who liked my blog re caring about other life forms:

It made my day.

Sadly we are in the minority.

A neighbour; aged in his late twenties/early thirties; said he would organise something to give me my privacy back: As his landlord had removed all the trees from the back fence:

I said thank you but that I wasn’t concerned about privacy:

that trees are important:

He and his wife just gave me a blank look.

Our local council chops down trees for no apparent reason.

A tree directly across the road from me was chopped down: it wasn’t in the way of anything: Not even the footpath?

Three magpies stood there looking at a stump that was once their home.

another pic taken with cheap phone

The roads department often removes trees because these trees are supposedly obstructing the view of traffic.

When I was in primary school in the nineteen fifties we celebrated Arbor Day by planting trees because humans had realized how important trees are.

Arbor day still exists but it seems people are unaware of the reason?

Real-estate companies demolish heritage bush land and pay the fines knowing they will make heaps of money from property development.

And then there is “Trees for Life”

which a friend was instrumental in starting.

This friend and my self (long a go) with a group of Pagans went around the botanical gardens hugging trees — and doing Monty Python silly walks.

John Cleese silly walks

I used to do bush care.

But I was expected to poison non indigenous plants and kill nonindigenous animals.

I won’t use poison and I won’t kill.

It seems to me that this organisation (as well as Greenpeace and animal liberation) have become impotent bureaucracies populated by mindless automatons trying to be trendy:

This is a broad generalisation and I know that there are still people involved with these groups that care.

The multinationals are in control of both politicians and the media:

reinforcing the concept that only humans and money matter.

WHO ELSE IS ANNOYED BY THE ATTITUDE THAT ONLY HUMANS MATTER?

I have had a lifetime of being told I was wrong and psycho for caring about other life forms:

I studied world religions (as an elective) at teachers college (as a mature student) in the 1970’s so I was aware of Ahimsa:

But found that people of our culture who claim to be Buddhists or similar do not really understand this:

They stick with their cultural  programming that only humans matter.

So if, like me, you think other life forms should be respected for who they are:

Please say so.

It upsets me that people kill insects, spiders, mice, snails, trees, snakes etc

All are sentient and have a “soul”.

Enjoy your day

SOME ADVICE GIVEN TO ME

I originally entitled this self esteem and was advised that this title wasn’t allowed?

The late Louise Hay advised people to love themselves:

But so many of us don’t.

(regardless of age group: sex or race.)

from powerofpositivity.com

One of the few good psychologists

told me

to counsel myself as if I were  counselling someone else.

I get annoyed with myself because I cannot do things:

I was almost always able to push through panic attacks which I have had most of my life:

(my PTSD was diagnosed until I was almost fifty)

These days I have trouble doing this.

I get mad at myself :-

I would like to have been able  to drive to my daughters to help her after she  had surgery on her feet:

I wasn’t able to fly to North Queensland last year for my son’s  fiftieth:

I didn’t attend my youngest granddaughter’s 21st (a few years ago):

I am often unable to push through pain to do my house work and there are things that I physically cannot do.

Some days I cannot even walk the dog 😦

I have had to refuse to do clairvoyant readings.

Today I counselled myself that I am doing the best I can.

I suffer with osteoarthritis, myalgia: adhesions: nerve pain and medical and surgical mistakes:

This century I have had over a decade of constant pain and sleep deprivation.

(Allergic to morphine and Tramadol)

What motivated me to write this is that last night I slept for four hours (straight) and feel so much better.

Maslow’s heirachy

I know many people don’t like themselves because they don’t fit the cultural norm of slim and attractive:

I understand this:

Last century I remember someone who was disfigured was told that “it is not what you look like but who you are on the inside.”

I said to him “That’s crap: people treat and judge you by the way you look.”

The 1990’s I had an hysterectomy (which I should not have had) and I put on weight:

plus my health went downhill because of sleep deprivation (work related).

People treated me with contempt:

including doctors and specialists.

At the beginning of this century I lost weight and  people treated me with respect.

Including the same doctors and specialists.

My Dad always said “Count your blessings.”

And I do.

Have a great day

and be kind to non humans

THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF WORLD WAR TWO

I watched the service for the 75th anniversary of the end of World War two:

I thought – none of us can know or empathise what horrors these soldiers had to endure:

Pictured —First picture is from “we are the mighty.com” the second Wikipedia

I remembered a clairvoyant reading that I did at the beginning of this century for a man who was in the Crimean war:

I “communicated” with a man (deceased) who had served with him:

The man I was reading for asked if this man had been killed or was he taken and tortured: as they had had to leave him behind.

 The man had been tortured.

I did not feel the physical pain but the emotional horror.

Not something that I would like to experience again.

My father-in-law and mother-in-law served in the Second World War for Australia:

My parents were in the UK:

My dad was not conscripted because he was hearing impaired but he was assigned to re building bombed buildings.

(He was a carpenter)

Pictured –– first picture my Dad : second picture: my in laws with my children

Neither my in laws nor my parents talked about the war but an uncle told me a funny story about my Dad.

My Dad was sleeping in quarters that were bombed;

He slept through the bombing:

(because he was deaf)

didn’t wake up:

The rescue team put him with the corpses:

they almost buried him.

Blessed be

and remember the fallen

SOME INFO ABOUT CLAIRVOYANCE

FROM FACEBOOK

People say they don’t believe in clairvoyance and I respect this.

I prefer sceptics to people who believe everything that they are told (by clairvoyants and others).

There are some that believe in clairvoyance but think clairvoyants are spiritual.

Sociopaths, psychopaths and narcissists can be clairvoyant.

My mentor told us that it is just an extension of our senses that has been lost because of our culture

Everyone is clairvoyant.

Because our culture teaches that clairvoyance doesn’t exist these abilities atrophy.

Clairvoyance be it visual:

auditory – clairaudience:

feelings – clairsension:

or concepts:

flashes in a fraction of a second

as if wherever this is coming from is “out of phase”.

I admire sceptics but not cynics:

cynics are as fascist about their opinion as a religious person is about theirs.

Googled: –

Sceptic noun

“a person inclined to question or doubt accepted opinions”.

Cynic noun

“a person who believes that people are motivated purely by self-interest rather than acting for honourable or unselfish reasons.”

Another thing that worries the “believers” is that the clairvoyant may  know things about them that they don’t want known.

This isn’t so:

your subconscious usually blocks out stuff it doesn’t want known.

Although empaths may sense the energies they won’t know specifics.

This video I made for my Facebook page.

And I am very brave showing this – now that I am fat old and disabled

Knowing our culture judges people by the way they look:

Something that I have experienced personally.

MY MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER

I left the UK in 1952:

I was two:

I turned three while aboard ship on the way to South Australia.

I believe that I just communicated with my maternal Grandmother who was called “Mother Gaskell”

I have asked her to prove it is really her even though I am sure it wasn’t my imagination. *

There is no reason for me to wish to connect with someone that I don’t remember.

I don’t even have a photo of her.

I have one of me, taken in Northfield South Australia.

Me with Christy – I think that I was three
  • A few years ago I was “getting” my Dad (deceased) quite often:

I said to him “How do I know that this isn’t just wishful thinking! If it is really you, communicate via someone else.”

A few weeks later I received the following message in Facebook messages:

QUOTE:

“Hi Kate, just wondering if it’s your dads birthday or anniversary or something ???????????????? He’s popped into my head for about 4 days in a row, he was looking in your front door giving a little wave with a smile. Weird , at odd times and I wasn’t even trying, busy doing things and there he was. Thought I’d wait to see if I got a message for you but nothing today, he looked happy and as I said he was smiling………..hope this makes your day x”      END QUOTE

Brindle and Matthew

The communication with my grandmother was concepts and pictures:

Clairaudience usually “comes at me” too fast for me to decipher.

Mother Gaskell told me that she is with me, to help.

Even if it is just placebo effect my anxiety isn’t as bad as it was.

I started isolating before my age group were told to:

Although we no longer have these restrictions in S A I am having trouble pushing through a panic attack to leave the house.

(I have had to push through panic to go anywhere for as long as I can remember)

From my grandmother:

Out of all her grandchildren she and I connected and I made her happy.

this was a visual:

She was bed ridden:

I was on the bed

a toddler

making her laugh

Mother Gaskell thought that my mothers attitudes were because she was Welsh and Irish?

 Her sisters brought her up:

So she understands why Ada wanted to be the centre of attention.

Not impressed that she told lies at my expense and my Dad’s expense  to get this attention.

Understands the physical abuse or most of it:

It was acceptable back then.

But shoving me in to the wood burning part of the wood stove when lit was

not acceptable.

(Mother Gaskell had ten children three boys and seven girls.

I have no idea how many grandchildren.

My mother was second to youngest.)

HOPE

My youngest granddaughter in the Coorong

I once had a Pollyanna outlook on life but in my old age I started to believe that the human plague will make all life extinct

I am changing my outlook

There appears to be more original thinkers amongst the younger generation

the Millennials

 More are sensitive and caring

re  other life forms and the ecology.

Respectful of other races  and cultures

and sexual preferences

Still my generation

Baby Boomers/ Flower Power

deserve the credit for implementing changes:

 in women’s rights

racial prejudice

sexual preferences

and bringing attention to the ecology

 and animals rights

And in our day people who didn’t conform to the status quo would have been locked in mental institutions.

Despite all the negative information the media feeds us about covid 19 my personal experience has been one of thoughtful people helping others.
