The Meaning of Life —I don’t think there is one!

monty pythons meaning of life

This blog is just my personal opinion and certainly a broad generalization.

I respect people’s right to their religious beliefs but this doesn’t extend to “New Age” yuppies: Actually, considering the definition of “yuppie” new age posers would claim they are not “yuppies” because they are not materialistic but I think it fits their description perfectly.

I label religion as fascist because it is an absolute ideology: but your average mindless automaton patronisingly spouting new age crap is equally fascist because they don’t allow people to dis agree.

I don’t believe in karma. Karma, like god is a way of stopping the peasants from revolting. If one believes God will change things or what goes around comes around they will not try to change things themselves. And karma is the Hindi word for work: e.g. karma sutra. – a form of work I am sure most would enjoy.

Another new age philosophy which infuriates me is that we should thank abusers, sociopaths and psychopaths for teaching us something. Certainly, fits in with a culture that supports and glorifies criminals and tell victims that they must have deserved it!

This theory is based on the “New Age” assumption that we are here to learn.

Really! What I have learned in my almost three score years and ten is that to fit in one is required to be a mindless automaton: to succeed it is necessary to be a sociopath and a narcissist!

I realize we as humans try to find a meaning to life and I am not sure that there is one.                              I don’t disagree with everything that is now labelled “New Age”.

I agree with positive thinking and in “spiritual” healing.  I have “seen” healing energy swirling electric blue and auras expand. In my opinion, our thoughts and words do have power.

I like sceptics — people who question what they are told. (Including my blogs)

Long ago, a lecturer at college told me that I was an original thinking. I realize it was a compliment but although “original thinkers”  can no longer be put to death, we certainly don’t fit in.

No wonder I am anthrophobic.

I started to write the following and then thought – It is a bit petty considering all the suffering and horror in the world — Then off on a tangent thought—What will I call it? — Sheep? – People think sheep are stupid but they are not! – From there I started thinking about the scapegoat which really upsets me — what a life leading others too their death?

So now am writing thefollowing so I don’t dwell on how horrible the meat industry is:-

If someone looks young and attractive they are treated with respect and considered to be intelligent caring people. Those who do not fit the stereo type of attractive are treated with contempt and considered stupid, deviant or criminal. The origins of this attitude are from the movies where attractive people are cast in leading roles as the good guy and the not so attractive as the villain.

This is not only wrong it is dangerous because sociopaths and psychopaths are usually attractive, charismatic people.

People are so controlled by the media. The example that comes to mind goes way back to 1980 when Lindy Chamberlain suffered trial by media and was convicted of the murder of her daughter Azaria. At this time, every person I knew considered her guilty! I was abused for saying I believed the dingo took the baby!

These days I have to tolerate people claiming they are supporting me because I am on an aged pension.

(Yet I paid more tax per fortnight in the 1990’s than I get for my pension now. I gave up a job that I had had for twenty years even though my “Work Cover” was approved. I found out that lawyers are afraid of “Work Cover”?)

People do not consider how much the politicians cost them. They support a corrupt system that is controlled by the multinationals and could not care less about the average person.

I haven’t watched the movie The Matrix for a decade and an half but my favourite line is “These people are so inured so hopelessly dependent on the system they fight to defend it”

Surviving Death

People tend to believe that a belief in God and heaven is necessary for a belief in and “afterlife” Surviving death isn’t synonymous with a religious belief. We do not understand the nature of reality. It appears we exist in an alternate reality when we are “not here”! In this reality the electrons are apparently moving at a different speed around the protons and neutrons so it is out of phase. ( This is my very limited understanding of quantum physics)

The Following post on Facebook motivated me to write this blog!

13092043_10207675042412307_8151830657830518825_n

The incident that convinced me that clairvoyance was a reality happened at work. In the late 19 70’s. I was a student nurse at Strathmont Centre. I was washing dishes with a male staff nurse. We didn’t have kitchen hands in those days. Kym was 6 ft tall and rather heavy set. He had long blonde hair and dressed “Flower Power” style. A man (deceased) flashed in! (When I see or hear things they flash in a fraction of a second) He had Kym’s high forehead and similar features but wore a suit with a crepe ribbon and a cross and had a short back and sides hair cut and dark hair.

I asked Kym if his father was a minister. He asked me why and initially I would not answer. I eventually told him what I saw and Kym told me that it was his uncle. He asked me what denomination his uncle was.

I did not know.

After Kym left the kitchen I asked his uncle what he had died of.  The words were that fast all I could make out was sclerosis. Because we were with the intellectually disabled I thought “tubular sclerosis?” Then I realized it was multiple sclerosis.

When we were having a tea break Kym told me that his uncle died of multiple sclerosis. I was amazed and said that his uncle had “told” me this!

Kym said “Get more”! I informed him that I couldn’t.

But I saw panama hats and monkeys. I said “He was a missionary in South America” Kym said “Yes”. I then saw masks and a jungle and said he was also a missionary in New Guinea. Kym told me this wasn’t so. When Kym came to work the next day he said that his mother had confirmed that her brother had been a missionary in New Guinea. This showed that I wasn’t just reading Kim’s mind.

I previously entitled this Computer End Program and received no likes?

To Thine Own Self be True

This above all; to thine own self be true,

And it must follow, as night follows day,

Thou canst not then be false to any man,

Hamlet Act 1, scene 3, 78–82

Being true to ones self is much more than just being honest.

This Shakespeare quote is how I try to live my life.

Our culture operates on the assumption that people are honest and truthful yet this often isn’t so.

On a “white lie” level; how often do people say what they think the other person wants to hear or lie to get attention & make themselves feel important.

Lying; cheating; stealing and scams are rampant.

On the other hand one could argue that telling the truth is not always kind?

I feel so strongly about telling the truth as I believe it to be that even if I accidentally lie I feel guilty.

What I write I believe either to be true or possible. I am not “into” “absolute ideologies” so I acknowledge this is only my opinion.

The following is a quote from Marion Weinstein’s “Positive Magick”( Bibliography: page 234; Positive Magic: Earth Magic productions New York; First published in 1978 by Simon & Schuster Pocket Books New York)

Ma’Kheru, or The Word of Truth

The concept of Ma’ Kheru, or Maat, was a highly regarded state ofbeing in ancient Egypt. In fact it was always hoped that by the time a person died, he/ she would ha ve reached this state of personal evolution.

In my lifetime society’s attitude to clairvoyance and associated philosophy’s has improved along with attitudes to minority groups such as women; different races; sexual preference; etc. Although there are still many “out there” who consider clairvoyance to be a con at best and evil at worst.

People are free to believe as they choose and I have no desire to alter people’s beliefs or opinions.

I do not require other’s to believe as I do to make it true.

The clairvoyants that I know (including myself) are genuine and honest

I was made aware of a scam last century where people who went for a reading were told that a “hex” had been put on them and were charged $2,000 to remove same. Similar scams still happen

The way to avoid being conned is to trust ones “gut”!

To quote or maybe paraphrase Dr. Deepak Chopra:” We should always trust our “gut”. Every cell in our bodies has neuropeptides which means every cell thinks. It is better to trust your “gut” because it hasn’t learned to doubt what it thinks.”

I am able to see & communicate with people that have died as well as other discarnate beings. I know that my clairvoyant ability is genuine because I was extremely sceptical in the nineteen seventies when I first participated in Spiritualist psychic development groups. I made sure that I was being honest with myself so that I knew I was really “seeing”

I have had numerous experiences to confirm that I am truly communicating with beings who are no longer in this reality.

When I “see” (clairvoyance); “hear” (clairaudience) or” feel”  (clairsensience) It flashes in a fraction of a second. To be pedantic a sixteenth of a second.  The spiritualist would train us to remember what we saw by putting items on a tray. Covering same with a tea towel; removing the towel for a fraction of a second and then cover the items again. We had to see how many items we could remember and describe.

Knowing that I have helped someone by proving that their loved one is genuinely communicating is my greatest reward. I am not interested in the payment, although I don’t refuse the money. I have done readings for an exchange or for free in some circumstances.

Every one is clairvoyant. Our culture teaches that clairvoyance doesn’t exist and these abilities atrophy.

My first paid reading for the general public was in 1980 when I worked in a coffee lounge called “The Sixth Sense” which was on O’Connell Street North Adelaide.

Despite my clairvoyant awareness and experiences I do not claim to understand the nature of reality. And I have questioned the nature of reality since I was seven years old. (six decades ago)

I have my theories but am also aware that these theories are limited by the cultural and personal concepts that I have. Even analogies cannot really help me understand this multi universe and what is beyond it.

I realize that I am going off on a tangent  here but this is something that I often do  so I am still being true to me.

Long before the movie The Matrix came out I used to say to the people in my psychic development groups – “Imagine you are in a virtual reality!”

The movie “The Matrix” is creatively brilliant. The surreal colour. The names of the characters; the way the dialogue is presented; the social satire. But it also questions “what is real?”

In my early twenties I was fascinated by the similarity between atoms & solar systems

I can remember associating the concept of an atom with that of a solar system. The protons & neutrons being the sun and the electrons the planets.

Another theory that interests me relates to the human race who I always thought didn’t belong on planet Earth. Humans do not fit in with the ecological balance. They have already destroyed the planet beyond repair according to “Greenpeace”  I rarely mention this theory as it  offends  some people’s religious beliefs but I sometimes wonder if we were genetically engineered by extra terrestrials as slave labour and a food source. These ET’s being the “gods”.

It explains the lack of a missing link and the idea of human sacrifices?

I have been told that there are references to this concept in Mayan manuscripts.

I have been unable to find such information.

The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy gives the meaning of life as 42. The obvious satire being we are not asking the right question.

And Monty Python’s Meaning of Life – Is it an after dinner mint?

I have always been interested in quantum physics as was my father now deceased. In his day it was quantum mechanics. the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know” gives fascinating incites into quantum physics and neuro biology
Reading my own blog I question myself as to “What’s the point I am making?” And there seems to be no conclusion!

I guess in looking back on my life being true to myself and “what makes my heart sing” Is to use my clairvoyance to help someone communicate with a loved one who has died and see how much difference it makes when I can give them genuine information from the” deceased “ person. But I believe my dharma is to help the planet as best I can.

“My Guide” was trying to explain to me (yesterday) that in the future we will be using the technology of holograms for space travel (ships) and also for housing. The analogy he gave was of the TARDIS.     Dr Who fans will know what I mean. Bigger on the inside than the outside. I had hoped to put a photo of the “TARDIS” with this blog but understandably wasn’t allowed (copyrights)
I am going to Google holograms before I write anymore –
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holographic_principle
Above is a site I was reading: Didn’t help me much: Sadly I don’t understand the theory.
In the Wednesday psychic group the gentleman I mentioned in a previous blog that was experienced with trance/channelling was attempting to go into trance. I was initially annoyed as we were supposedly putting names in for healing. Also a friend of his had told me that this gentleman likes to be the centre of attention: So I thought he was faking!
I asked him to leave it until another time and he ignored me. Then all of a sudden he had completely disappeared. Something I haven’t seen in a long time. When I did readings in a local shop  Probably a decade ago one of my clients told me that I faded out.
An exercise that used to do in my psychic groups (last century) was to have people sit in front of a mirror; in a darkened room with a candle behind them. Ones face disappears; so there is nothing; and then different faces appear.
I stopped doing this in 1995 when one lady ran out screaming. She came back and said her face had changed to something horrible.
I do not know if the different faces are us in other incarnations or just entities that wish to appear.
Back to the Wednesday group: On the face of the gentleman who had initially disappeared; we saw different faces. I asked a young lady to sit opposite this man and tell me what she saw. To ensure it wasn’t just my imagination
She saw an aboriginal lady whom I did not see but she also saw a lady whom I did see and at first thought was the gentleman’s deceased wife: Excepting the hair was the wrong colour. The lady I saw had silver hair and Audrey’s hair was a darker grey (I hope Audrey doesn’t mind my using her name) Audrey’s husband suggested it may be his sister in law as she had silver hair. I and the young lady saw several people appear in quick flashes. Just like with clairvoyance when the pictures flash in a fraction of a second. I thought that I saw my Dad but because faces are difficult to describe I cannot be sure that it was really him; although the young lady did see a man with glasses.
As yet I still don’t know if the meaning of life is “42” (Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy) or an” after dinner mint (Monty Python)

The following is from  Marion Weinstein’s “Positive Magic” (page 234; Positive Magic: Earth Magic productions New York; 1st published in 1978 by Simon & Schuster Pocket Books New York)

“Makeru, or The Word of Truth

The concept of Ma’Keru, or Maat, was a highly regarded state of being in ancient Egypt. In fact, it was always hoped that by  the time a person died, he/she would have reached this state of personal evolution. The word itself is difficult to translate. In heiroglyphics, it look like

Witches who trace their own traditions back to the early Egyptian Mysteries still intergrate the concept of Ma’Keru, Maat, or The Word of Truth into their work. Once one has attained Ma’Keru, every word that is spoken literally comes true. The greater Gods and Goddesses were in this state, and you too may strive for it – as the witches do, in essence -for yourself. This state is attained by being very careful to say exactly only what one means. Consequently, “idle chatter, or lying” serves only to dissipate the truth and the Power. In our own lives, this means: Watch what you say! Say what you mean, and mean what you say.”

In my life time society’s attitude to clairvoyance and associated philosophy’s has improved along with attitudes to minority groups such as women; different races; sexual preference; etc.

People are free to believe as they choose and I have no desire to alter people’s beliefs or opinions.

I do not require others to believe as I do to make it true.

The clairvoyants that I know (including myself) are genuine and honest and coming from integrrity. I am very aware that there are charaltans who are more interested in making money than helping people. How prevalent this is, is dificult to ascertain. I was made aware of a scam last century where people who went for readings were told that an “hex” had been put on them and were told it would cost $2,000 to remove same.
