Just another WordPress.com site
(I doubt that people in western culture even have this concept)
I was in Animal liberation in the 1970s
( we were successful in having legislation put in place for animals to be treated humanely)
Not much has changed in the last fifty years
Humans are still horrifically cruel to animals
They are used as test subjects by drug companies and cosmetic companies:
New borns are left to die of dehydration and starvation at the abattoirs at the request of drug companies who harvest the hormones caused by this death
There is still factory farming
Production line slaughtering
The dairy industry keeps cows pregnant and the calves go to slaughter
There are still dog fights
Humans still wipe out trees and the homes of other life forms for housing development
Rodeos – the animal’s nuts are strapped to cause them to buck
I was in the original Greenpeace –we were called a dangerous radical group – Humans are still pretending population doesn’t matter
From Google
“Humans have driven the extinction of at least 881 animal species since around 1500, with many scientists suspecting the true number is far higher, possibly reaching over a million species by some estimates, including threatened ones. Plant and invertebrate extinctions are also significant but less documented. The current rate of species loss is unprecedented, leading to an ongoing sixth mass extinction, a phenomenon primarily caused by human activities like habitat destruction. “
A SHORT STORY ABOUT HEALING THE BLUE PLANET
I wrote and published this sci fi short story a few years ago (under the above title) when the human population was
7.4 billion:
(1st published 4th April 2017)
It is now more than 8 .2 billion
I wrote this short story as social satire and sympathetic magic
The idea that we were genetically engineered is from Mayan writings plus my belief that humans are not indigenous to the planet
The concept of translocation was once a practice pre Roman Empire and apparently still is in some so called primitive cultures
The idea that humans were livestock for the gods is mine but am sure others have thought this
I chose Ophiuchus because I was I was drawn to this constellation
I chose Kunapipi because I respect and admire the wisdom and spirituality of indigenous Australians
The clairvoyant Experiences of a Sceptic is not a literary masterpiece
but a true story.
I don’t know the meaning of life:
nor understand the nature of reality:
I do know physical death is not the end.
And there are so many amazing stories omitted so as not to break client confidentiality.
The second part I wrote as therapy and had not intended to include.
It wasn’t included in the original l publication
( I started shaking when I tried to write about the abuse so it is badly written and a great deal omitted)
