IN DEFENSE OF CATS

8.4 BILLION HUMANS ARE CONTINUING TO CAUSE THE EXTINCTIONOF ALL OTHER LIFE

But instead of implementing zero population growth we blame cats

Since the 16th century, humans have driven at least 680 vertebrate species to extinction.

Our cultural norms and attitudes cause us to destroy trees insects and creatures we label as vermin

Because we think they are not sentient

The Issue

This heritage bushland was set alight:

Soon after it was real estate development:

Real Estate companies pay the fines associated with destroying heritage bush land because they make heaps more money than the fine.

In this case they were not fined at all because it was supposedly an accident.

When I was young I believed that a few people could make a difference and from a sociological point of view the more people that want something to change  the more likely the change will happen.

But I have learned over the years that multinationals rule the world and humans believe that they are the only species that matters and the only species that has feelings ☹

Our consumer society

and the industrial revolution have done so much damage:

along with this cultural attitude that only humans matter.

I wont kill anything:

I get upset when insects die.

I thank the wind, the rain and the vegetables etc that I eat:

One Christian woman patronisingly told me I should be thanking god (back in the days when didn’t have the self confidence to defend myself)

I believe everything that exists has a consciousness and deserves respect.

Population control as in zero population growth is essential.

Humans make up 99 percent of the of the world population.

Hence only one percent is wildlife.

When I wrote and published my sci fi short story April 2017 the human population was 7.4 billion

It is now almost 8 billion.

A few of us are sending healing and empowerment to all non human life

A SHORT STORY ABOUT HEALING THE  BLUE PLANET

I wrote and published this sci fi short story a few years ago (under the above title) when the human population was

7.4 billion:

(1st published 4th April 2017)

It is now more than 8 .4 billion

I wrote this short story as social satire and sympathetic magic

The idea that we were genetically engineered is from Mayan writings plus my belief that humans are not indigenous to the planet

The concept of translocation was once a practice pre Roman Empire and apparently still is in some so called primitive cultures

The idea that humans were livestock for the gods is mine but am sure others have thought this

I chose Ophiuchus because I was I was drawn to this constellation

I chose Kunapipi because I respect and admire the wisdom and spirituality of indigenous Australians

The clairvoyant Experiences of a Sceptic is not a literary masterpiece

but a true story.

I don’t know the meaning of life:

nor understand the nature of reality:

I do know physical death is not the end.

And there are so many amazing stories omitted so as not to break client confidentiality.

The second part I wrote as therapy and had not intended to include.

It wasn’t included in the original l publication

( I started shaking when I tried to write about the abuse so it is badly written and a great deal omitted)
