YOU ARE PROBABLY AN ORIGINAL THINKER

I HAVE POSTED THIS NUMEROUS TIMES –I JUST WISH TO REMIND THOSE THINKING PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT THE ECOLOGY;  OTHER LIFE FORMS AND OTHER HUMANS TO PERSEVERE  —- when enough people want change it happens

Who wants to fit into a culture where sociopaths succeed

psychopaths are glorified

and mindless automatons fit in

Without “misfits” things would never change

In the 1970s I was ridiculed for being a vegetarian –for being a member of Animal Liberation 

Greenpeace was considered a dangerous radical group and its member deviants

And women abused us for being in Women’s Liberation

Environmental groups have devolved into impotent bureaucracies and women’s lib has gone to ridiculous extremes —all we wanted was equal rights.

Plus attitudes haven’t changed much –So many people are horrified at the idea of zero population growth and quote horrors that have happened in China

Once upon a time the church would tell us what to think and do

Now it is the media

HAIL TO THEE ORIGINAL THINKERS

“Most of these people are not ready to be unplugged and many are so inured; so hopelessly dependant on the system that they will fight to protect it”

In the days when only white hetrosexual males had rights and status the mindless masses believed this was how thngs should be 😦

Original thinkers are no longer put to death

nor put in a mental institution:

they are just treated with contempt by mindless automatons.

Original thinkers see beyond their cultural programming:

OUR CULTURAL NORMS ARE MAKING ALL LIFE EXTINCT

The concept that only humans matter is so destructive to the ecology

chopping down trees:

culling other life forms because they are considered vermin or dangerous:

Destroying flora and fauna for real estate development:

thinking concrete is better than dirt:

refusing to implement zero population growth.

and so much more.

A SHORT STORY ABOUT HEALING THE  BLUE PLANET

I wrote and published this sci fi short story a few years ago (under the above title) when the human population was only 7.4 billion:

(1st published 4th April 2017)

It is now  8 billion.

Our cultural norms and the Protestant Ethic are causing the extinction of all life.

I wrote this as social satire and sympathetic magic

I realize my writing style doesn’t fit what people expect

My excuse –I majored in sociology not literature 😛

I wanted to put my idea that humans are not indigenous to the planet

A few lines  from this short story:

“Most humans think that those who live in harmony with the environment are primitive and inferior. Actually they don’t think.

They just mindlessly conform to what those in power and their entertainment media tell them.

 They are really stupid but consider themselves superior to all other life forms because they talk:

They think if something or someone doesn’t talk they don’t understand.

They thoughtlessly destroy everything. They call some creatures vermin, when humans are the vermin. They kill insects and destroy all the trees despite the fact that insects and trees are essential.

And everything literally goes down the drain polluting the oceans instead of nourishing other life.”
