Trees

trees

I am frequently told trees are a fire hazard

My trees don’t light fires humans do!

Human arsonists have set fire to the side of my property after torching the local bushland.

So the way to stop bushfires would be to get rid of arsonists –not trees

I am frequently told trees area fire hazard

Someone recently said

“trees belong in the bush” (referring to natives)

To which I replied

“they are in the bush –we moved in”

I am on a corner block

The neighbour behind me and to the northeast have removed all trees from their properties

and the neighbour next to me chopped down all the trees — the original owner loved trees.

The council  removed a tree  opposite me

It wasn’t in the way of anything –not even impinging on the footpath

After it was chopped three magpies stood by the stump

Their home gone

these babies were “roadkill” a fortnight later — young birds panic when a car is coming at them and dont know which way to move

I am opposed to absolute ideologies (fascism) so I do not impose my ideas on others.

But I am tired of others imposing their views on me.

I am sick of people telling me to get rid of trees.

Trees are essential for the air and soil.

And essential for other life forms

Considering famous people like David Attenborough have been ignored I am not expecting anyone taking notice of me

I think that trees should have been listed as an endangered species a century ago

and a permit required to kill one.

Real-estate development removes millions of trees destroying the homes and food source of other life forms and effecting both the soil and air.

So instead of chopping down trees lets bring in harsher penalties for arsonists.

And build our homes in harmony with the environment.

Oops I forgot: People believe that cultures that live in harmony with the environment and don’t worship money are primitive and therefore inferior.

I no longer belong to “Trees for Life” because they have devolved into an impotent bureaucracy.

Not only do the multinationals rule the world they have the masses “brain washed”.

I have recorded a “Tree Meditation” it is paraphrased form MOTHER WIT by Diane Mariechild (Plant meditiation)

HUG A TREE — ask permission of the tree first

NAMASTE

SOME FRIENDS INSIST THAT I AM NOT AN ATHEIST

Some friends insist that I am not an atheist

But I do not believe in a God

This concept implies an hierarchical structure and causes humans to believe they are superior to other life forms

I believe all life to be equal sentient and connected

Either humans have lost this connection or never had it because they are not indigenous to this planet

I have studied world religions and I did a great deal of research when I lectured on Wicca starting in the 1980s

Although western religion has done a lot of harm there are a lot of good religious people

I still love Desiderata

A long time ago some sociopath changed one word in Desiderata and sold it as his

The concept of translocation was once a practice pre Roman Empire and apparently still is in some so called primitive cultures

The idea that humans were livestock for the gods is mine but am sure others have thought this

A SHORT STORY ABOUT HEALING THE  BLUE PLANET

I wrote and published this sci fi short story a few years ago (under the above title) when the humanI was

It is now more than 8 billion.

I wrote this short story as social satire and sympathetic magic

He idea that humans were livestock for the gods is mine but am sure others have thought this

I chose Ophiuchus because I was I was drawn to this constellation

I chose Kunapipi because I respect and admire the wisdom and spirituality of indigenous Australians

In the following book I hope to help those who wish to develop their clairvoyant abilities.

In “The Clairvoyant Experiences Of A Sceptic” I told a few of my clairvoyant experiences.

Listening to others similar stories made me realize that

it is so much better if you can have these experiences first hand.

Kung fu tz  (Confucius) say “Perseverance prospers”

So don’t give up – you will succeed

And use the recorded meditations in my blog

The clairvoyant Experiences of a Sceptic is not a literary masterpiece

but a true story.

I dont know the meaning of life:

nor understand the nature of reality:

I do know physical death is not the end.

And there are so many amazing stories omitted so as not to break client confidentiality.

The second part I wrote as therapy and had not intended to include.

It wasn’t included in the original l publication

( I started shaking when I tried to write about the abuse so it is badly written and a great deal omitted)

 THE PROTESTANT ETHIC

Protestant ethic, in sociological theory, the value attached to hard work, thrift, and efficiency in one’s worldly calling, which, especially in the Calvinist view, were deemed signs of an individual’s election, or eternal salvation.—Britannica

In the book, Weber wrote that capitalism in Northern Europe evolved when the Protestant (particularly Calvinist) ethic influenced large numbers of people to engage in work in the secular world, developing their own enterprises and engaging in trade and the accumulation of wealth for investment.—Weber

Most people are aware that

The Protestant Ethic is causing the extinction of all life

At a very young age I couldn’t understand why only money mattered

I presumed that there was something wrong with me

The person who is supposed to love a child when no one else does

Told me for 63 years and 8 months that I was

“Useless; a failure; a disappointment; cannot do anything right; neither use nor ornament”

So i had no self confidence.

When I was in primary school we were asked to write an essay entitled “My wish”

I wrote that I wished that people cared more about the environment and other life forms than money —despite being embarrassed about thinking differently to others

Money has never been important to me

You may presume that I never had to go without —but this isn’t so

In the 1960s I  had to give up my job working with computers when I got married

–Married women were not allowed to hold government jobs-

My husband fought with the boss and quit his job on a regular basis

There was no social security in those days so if you didn’t work you didn’t eat

Aspects of our culture that I disagree with

Ownership of land –taking  land away from other life forms

Hierarchical structure

Putting  other life forms or other cultures  below W.A.S.P s on this hierarchy

Presumption that humans are more intelligent because they talk

Presumption that other life forms aren’t sentient

sentient

adjective

able to perceive or feel things.”

Our culture cares more about helping the criminals rather than the victims

People make comments –

“You get what you pay for”

Before I did a reading for a lady a few years ago she told me that anyone who charged less than $80 was no good (afterward she was very happy with her very inexpensive reading)

I wrote a paper on Karl Marx when I majored in sociology

Karl Marx is portrayed as an evil person:

Yet he advocated sharing:

China  and other so called Communist countries do not have communism:

they have state capitalism.

Communism is  sharing.

Humans in modern cultures don’t share with one another or other lifeforms.

This will eventually cause all life to become extinct— and not that far away.

MISCONCEPTIONS

I realize some people still equate witches with evil people who sacrifice animals.

Not us!

I moved to a retirement village at the end of April 2023 – I have only told one person in the village that  I am a witch and a clairvoyant –this age group definitely think witches are evil –am wearing my pentagram today no one has noticed

Me when I was teaching “would be witches” in 2001 -age 52

My tradition is Alexandrian/Gardenarian and we work sky clad

I became interested in the 1970’s – my first degree initiation was 1983

“Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfil

The concept that witches were evil began at the inquisition when the Church of Rome was trying to get rid of  the Old Religion and the women herbalists.

witch hunts

The Satanists, who we are sometimes equated with, got their ideas from Malleus Maleficarum,

which is about  how to torture people to get them to say they worship the devil and not about witchcraft as it says if you Google!

Our rituals are similar to American Indian rituals –at least the one I am aware of, which is Sioux tradition.

After telling a friend that I used to lecture on Wicca in the 1980s and early 1990s –

I told her that in the 1990s when it was becoming popular it attracted a lot of people to training courses

Her reply was “you must have made a lot of money

WE DID NOT CHARGE

Neophytes were asked to donate for candles and incense.

Back to witches not being evil.

I will not kill anything — Not spiders: mice: insects: trees –

I believe everything that exists has consciousness and deserves respect.

I have cried on many occasions because I haven’t been able to save a bird: animal or  reptile that had been  hit by a car – at least I move them off the road so that they are not continuously run over.

I get upset when moths throw themselves at the window to get to the light.

This doesn’t mean there are not people out there calling themselves witches and killing animals.

Male witches are called witches,

so if someone claims to be a warlock be suspicious.

Pagan = village dweller

Weird = magic

Sinister = left-handed

I should have called this book LIFE AFTER DEATH as my experiences convinced me that this life isn’t all that there is – mind you the last time I posted a blog with this title it only got 2 likes – guess I am threatening the status quo

LIFE AFTER DEATH

WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW

i believe in angels -see them as white light

People tend to believe that a belief in God and heaven is necessary for a belief in an “afterlife”

Surviving death isn’t synonymous with a religious belief.

We do not understand the nature of reality.

(or at least I don’t)

It appears we exist in an alternate reality when we are “not here”! In this reality the electrons are apparently moving at a different speed around the protons and neutrons so it is out of phase. ( This is my very limited understanding of quantum physics)

Another misconception is that people have to be “earth bound” to communicate with the living:

NOT SO!

I asked “clairvoyantly” about “the meaning of life” which strangely enough isn’t 42 (Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy)

The answer I got was more a concept than words but translated:

I was asked if I could conceptualize NO LINEAR TIME and when I said “No” I was told that “they” couldn’t explain.

We may all be in a huge holodeck:

As suggested by Star Trek Next Generation —

And  “What The Bleep”

“Ship In A Bottle” season six — Star Trek Next Geneeration

In the “special features” of What the “Bleep” they mention that Professor WilliamTiller gives the mathematical constructs of a hologram that we “are” living in.

(William A. Tiller is a professor emeritus of materials science and engineering at Stanford University)

Until the following I suspected clairvoyance was wishful thinking and vivid imagination

The incident that convinced me that clairvoyance was a reality happened at work. I was a student nurse at Strathmont Centre.  I was washing dishes with a male staff nurse. We didn’t have kitchen hands in those days.  Kym was six feet tall and rather heavy set and had long blonde hair. A man (deceased) flashed in (when I see or hear things they flash in a fraction of a second) He had Kym’s high forehead and similar features but wore a suit with a crepe ribbon and a cross and had a short back and sides haircut and dark hair.

I asked Kym if his father was a minister. He asked me why and initially I would not answer. I eventually told him what I saw and Kym told me that it was his uncle. He asked me what denomination his uncle was.

I did not know.

After Kym left the kitchen I asked his uncle, whom I could no longer “see”, what he had died of.  The words were that fast all I could make out was sclerosis. Because we were with the intellectually disabled I thought “tubular sclerosis?” Then I realized it was multiple sclerosis.

When we were having a tea break Kym told me that his uncle died of multiple sclerosis. I was amazed and said that his uncle had “told” me this!

Kym said “Get more”! I informed him that I couldn’t.

But I saw panama hats and monkeys. I said “He was a missionary in South America” Kym said “Yes”.

I then saw masks and a jungle and said he was also a missionary in New Guinea. Kym told me this wasn’t so.  When Kym came to work the next day, he said that his mother had confirmed that her brother was a missionary in New Guinea. This showed that I wasn’t just reading Kim’s mind.

THE MEANING OF LIFE

I do not know the meaning of life

but would like to share my thoughts on the subject

I asked clairvoyantly some years ago about surviving physical death

which I know from my clairvoyant experiences is so

The answer I got was more a concept than words but translated:

I was asked if I could conceptualize NO LINEAR TIME and when I said “No” I was told that “they” couldn’t explain.

Froom “What The Bleep” I was made aware that if we didn’t have a concept for something then it didn’t exist for us

I was brought up Church of England

I taught Sunday school in my teens

St Johns Salisbury South Australia

even though I studied world religion as an elective at teachers
college

and researched religions before giving a lecture on Wicca at the WEA

I still persisted with Christianity

Did the “speaking in tongues” in my mid-twenties

And even went back to church in my late fifties

From a very young age our culture and religion seemed wrong to me

But having 63 years and 8 months of physical and mental abuse from the person who is supposed to love us even if no one else does – I doubted myself

I thought it was me that was “wrong” not the culture

Now that I am old and wiser

I believe  our culture is wrong

We don’t respect other life forms

We presume that there is a god

Who requires worship and obedience

This presumption is based on the idea that there is must be an hierarchical structure

The religion of Rome was set up by Constantine to control the empire

When Constantine combined Jesus teachings with Judaism  ( and a mix of some Roman ideology) there was a meeting in Nicaea to decide what to put in the bible and what to leave out

Jesus teachings, although edited, are a positive input to this religion.

The Bible and the Koran are almost identical
