A quote from Albert Schweitzer:
“Do something wonderful, people may imitate it.”
When I was in primary school and Albert Schweitzer was still alive our teacher was discussing his work in Africa and commented that he actually got upset that moths injured or killed themselves trying to get to a light:
The teacher found this strange and amusing:
I didn’t because it upsets me too.
Decades later I commented in a Facebook empath group regarding this and other things that upset me: killing insects, snails, mice, chopping down trees and more;
In this FB group most posts would get around 400 comments:
Mine got one
So caring people are still the minority.
I know that I am not alone as I have friends who think like me.
“Albert Schweitzer wrote – Kulturphilosophie (1923; “Philosophy of Civilization”), in which he set forth his personal philosophy of “reverence for life,” an ethical principle involving all living things, which he believed essential to the survival of civilization.”
I Googled and Amazon have this book for $15.80 in paperback
Humans are causing the extinction-of all life including humans because they stupidly believe humans are the only species that matters 😦
And be kind to non-humans
The following sci fi short story will only appeal to those humans who don’t think that
they are the only species that matters/thinks/feels.
